Easy Lay Method Review

Easy Lay Method Review

The Easy Lay Method is based around a very simple selection process using the Racing Post (paper or website), the forecast prices and a quick look at a horse’s last result. There are a couple of filters, one based on the minimum number of runners but otherwise it’s really easy to get the selections.

Easy Lay MethodOnce you have the selections it’s a case of checking what the lay odds are. The system then gives you the choice of laying to win, or if the odds are too high or the runners are over a certain number, laying for a place. (Or if you’re really up for it, laying both!)

The Easy Lay Method comes in a .pdf file, costs £47.77 and is available as an immediate download from www.easylaymethod.com.

Over the 90 days of the trial, laying to WIN only made a loss of 15.56 points. This ranged over the 90 days from a loss of nearly 28 points to a profit of nearly 30 points.

Applying the filters to lay WIN/PLACE made a profit of 25.63 points. Over the period of the trial laying WIN/PLACE never made a loss and just over halfway through the trial, was over 47 points in profit. At that point it looked like it was going to average a point a day profit, but it started to tread water and then started to lose money.

Looking at the results I have it can be made more profitable by laying WIN only and setting an upper limit to the lay odds. But even then, the maximum profit that could have been made from the method is about 40 points. That would be about 160 points profit per year.

With laying WIN only losing 15.56 points over the trial, that would put the Easy Lay Method in the FAILED category.

Choosing to lay WIN/PLACE made a profit of 25.63 points, which amounts to just over 100 points a year. This is much better and puts the Easy Lay Method (when laying WIN/PLACE) into the APPROVED category. Limiting the lay odds when laying WIN only improves on this result.

The Easy Lay Method is therefore recommended.

“But even then, the maximum profit that could have been made from the method is about 40 points. That would be less than 0.5 points profit per day. I don’t think that’s enough profit to be making from any system and as a result, I have no choice but to put the Easy Lay Method in the FAILED category.”

0.5 points per day is not enough profit? That’s about 180 points per year; at “the standard” 100 pounds per bet is equal to 18000 pounds per year. Honestly i don’t think many systems can achieve this sort of results. But if there are, i’d like to know about 2 or 3 more…and i’ll start thinking about leaving my 9-to-5 job.

Yes, put it that way and you’re right. I have amended my review.

But please bear in mind that many of us do not bet “the standard” and are thinking in much smaller numbers.

Do you need to watch the live racing? Can a bot be used ? How many selections a day/week/month?

        Thanks

        • Chris says:

          Hi S,

You don’t need to watch the live racing, the selection is the selection and you can lay it whenever you like, win or place. The only problem with not watching live racing is when there are non-runners. The method says not to lay if there are less than a certain number of runners which can come into play when there are non-runners.

I don’t know enough about bots to be able to answer your question – but if a bot works from telling it which horse to lay in a particular race and you can ‘programme’ the bot to lay win or place depending on the odds or number of runners, then it will work.

Over the trial, there were 488 bets, which averages out to just over 5 selections per day or about 38 selections per week.

          Cheers
          Chris

Hi, I bought this last year, and have not been using it, after having a go in the early days. I think 18,000 a year is great, but as always, there are problems attached to systems like these. For me you can expect longish losing runs, which can cripple you betting bank in a hurry, and of course perhaps the time limiting factor as well. Sitting at a computer waiting for the price to drop the horse into favouritism etc, that’s why I’m not a big fan. I must say though, that it is another factor to consider whether you are backing or laying. But, unless you are retired and have plenty of time to spend on this. That’s also the problem with yearly profit figures isn’t it, it’s OK until you and I try and make it pay, and find that it will take over your day, even if you have a ‘Bot’ it is not easy.
Has anyone made any CONSISTANT profit from any of the casino software available these days? I bought the Roulette Psychic, and found that as soon as I deposited my money with the casino, the bet identification process took an age. I was trying to work this yesterday and never got a bet in TWO HOURS. Further more, I don’t believe that the numbers are randomly selected either. I was working an odds on strategy, backing two dozens and two columns at the same time. This gives the casino four numbers and the zero to shoot at. Guess what? The casino won!!!

If laying win only is losing money, and laying win/place is showing a profit, why not just lay place only.

    • Chris says:

      Hi Roy,

Good question. I’ve looked at the data, and laying all selections to PLACE resulted in a loss of 3.79 points over the 90 days.

Too many of the selections placed (196 out of 488 selections), so a lot of winners from laying to WIN, became losers when laying to PLACE, hence the poor results.

      Cheers
      Chris

‘Applying the filters to lay WIN/PLACE made a profit of 25.63 points.’

Do you mean you are laying any particular selection in both win AND place markets?

    OR

Lay in one market only depending upon the price available…?

    Thanks
    Guy

    • Chris says:

      Hi Guy,

      Thanks for your question.

Even though the Easy Lay Method stated laying win AND place, I ran the trial laying only one or the other.

      The selection was a PLACE lay if either;
      a) the odds were over a certain limit, OR
      b) there were more than a certain number of runners in a race.

The odds limit and runners limit were both stated in the rules of the Easy Lay Method.

      Cheers
      Chris

I am the author of the Easy Lay Method and note that you have a review of the product.

I am writing to let you know that I have recently produced an Elite version of the system which produces even better results.

If you are interested in running a review of the ELM Elite system I am happy to provide you with further information.
