The test comes to an end with an interesting result and a conundrum.
No selections on day 29 and selections day 30.
system 1
bets 5 wins 2 losers 3 p/l +4.5 ytd -9.5
system 2
bets 3 wins 2 losers 1 p/l +13 ytd +10.1
Well interesting a fail and a pass and that is what I would record
System 1 uses a scattergun approach to trainer and owner selections and the bets lack a sound foundation for their support. There are too many selections and it requires the system to produce a few high price winners which have eluded it over the last month. I have it on good authority however that the system has lost money for the last 4 months. The past results for this system are very ambigious and do not actually relate to the system selections. I cannot find any logical reason to use system 1 except for those who want a bit of fun and a consistent level of winners albeit predominantly at short prices.
RATED AT 1 out of 5
System 2 however using the same selection process but filters them more tightly and therefore throws up horses whose criteria has historically shown a greater chance of being profitable. This sytem can make a profit without large price winners and did so during the trial period of 10.1 points. My own take is that system 2 has merits and with a bit of work could produce a good system. The author has in my view done little work with this system and it is typical of sportsworld promoted products. I will continue to record system 2 to see if there are some patterns worth following.
System 2 RATED 3.5 out of 5
The System can be purchased from here.
Footnote from Sam; I am placing this product in the failed category pending further testing by Jim, although system 2 has merits it is not something we can whole heartedly recommend as yet.
